Cameron's First Bottle
Cameron's big accomplishment today was that he took his first bottle. Daddy had the honors of giving it to him since mommy gets to do the breastfeeding- that seems fair :)Cameron did very well. He had to be burped twice. They have a neat swaying move that they suggest doing for premies that worked well. By the time he was done, he took about 12 ml. That's great for a first time. They are going to start giving him bottles twice a day now, in between the 2 times that he breastfeeds.
Since he has to be completely fed by breast and bottle in order to go home, this was an important step. Way to go Cameron!

I am so happy for the three of you. What a miracle that Cameron is doing so well and can come home so soon.
I used the birth of your baby as a teaching moment with my 14 year old son. We talked about when life actually begins. He hasn't thought through that process and it was a great conversation starter.
